Once there was a village (2016)
There were villages of Oldříš and Studnice in the Ore mountains (Krušné hory, Czech Republic) before the World War II. People of German ancestry who lived there were expelled to Germany after war. Nobody else wanted to live in a harsh climate of the mountain plains and villages almost completely disappeared. Only crippled trees and some stones remind us there was a village 70 years ago. I am still working on this project. Four images from this project advanced to a final round of the Travel Photographer of the year 2016 contest. --- CLICK ON THE FIRST IMAGE TO VIEW A GALLERY ---
